Driving directions: Take the Van Wyck Expressway to Nassau Expressway to Rockaway Boulevard. Take Rockaway Boulevard back to Nassau Expressway. Go to Central Avenue and make a right. Take Central to Cornaga Avenue and make a left. Take to Beach 19th Street. The Center is on your left-hand side.

Directions: From the Ferry, take any Bay Street bus (51, 74, 76, 78). Get off at Victory Boulevard. Walk down the stairs, pass the pool, all the way to the end. Turn right, Cromwell will be on your left.

Driving directions:

From the Verrazano Bridge: Take the lower level of the bridge and use the toll lanes on the extreme right. Get off at the first exit (Bay Street). At the traffic light, turn left onto Bay Street. Follow Bay Street for approximately 2 miles to Hannah Street. Turn right on Hannah and bear left at the fork. Cromwell is the first building on your right.

From the Outerbridge Crossing: Go through toll booth and follow signs for 440 North. Take 440 N to 278 E (Staten Island Expressway) toward the Verrazano Bridge. Exit at Lily Pond Avenue (last exit before Verrazano). At the traffic light, turn left and follow road to Bay Street. Turn left onto Bay Street and follow for approximately 2 miles to Hannah Street. Turn right on Hannah and bear left at the fork. Cromwell is the first building on your right.

Afterschool Program
The center provides children with healthy snacks and homework help, and encourages them to participate in weekly recreational activities. Afterschool begins in mid-September and runs through the end of June. The center also runs an Afterschool Program on days that children are off from school. Registration is at the center for ages 7 to 12.

BX#12 to Fordham Road. Walk 1 1/2 blocks up Jerome Avenue, bypassing Monroe College and then St. James Episcopal Church. Directly across the street from the post office is the Jerome Avenue entrance gate that leads into St.James Park. Enter gate, walk down staircase, follow path, and make slight right to enter facility.

BX# 9,22 or 28 to Kingsbridge Road and Fordham Road. Walk down on Jerome Ave. One block towards Fordham Rd.

Train:

#4 or D train to Fordham Road or Kingsbridge Road

Driving directions: Take the Major Deegan Expressway to Fordham Road exit. Make a right on Fordham Road. Continue east on Fordham to Jerome Avenue. You will see the elevated subway. Make a left on Jerome Avenue to 192 Street. Go about 1 1/2 blocks. The center is on your left, located inside St.James Park

Sports Explorer Program
New York Cares volunteers provide free non-competitive sports activities for children ages 8-13. The activities are geared to engage the children in active play while developing team-building skills.  Sports vary throughout the year.
