Rowboat, Kayak, and Paddleboat Rentals
Row, row, row your boat on the lakes of some of our largest parks. Enjoy the scenery while sharing paddling duties with your companions of choice.
Due to insurance reasons, the public is not permitted to launch personal boats at these sites. Please see our list of Public Launch Sites for alternative locations.
Brooklyn

Types of Boats: Pedal boats
Fees: Rentals are $15 per hour plus a $10 refundable deposit. Tax will be added to the rental fee.

Manhattan
Central Park - Loeb Boathouse

Hours: Weather-permitting, opens daily at 10 a.m. with last boat rentals at 5:30 p.m. The boats must be returned by 6:30 p.m. Rentals are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Types of Boats: Rowboats (up to 4 people per boat); nine-foot Ocean Kayaks
Fees: $12 first hour, $3 each additional 15 minutes. $30 cash deposit required per boat.
