Winter on a Flatbush Farm

Friday, November 28, 2008
1:00 p.m.4:00 p.m.
Brooklyn

Get ready for winter as they did in the 19th-century farming village of Flatbush.  Kids learn how to make candles, start a patchwork quilt, and preserve food for the coming months.  Watch flax be spun into thread and enjoy Dutch treats made at our open hearth from a Lefferts family recipe.

On Sunday, November 30, St. Nicholas will make an appearance at 3 p.m.

FREE.

Location: Prospect Park: Lefferts Historic House (Flatbush Avenue at Empire Boulevard)
