  • The Computer Resource Centers (CRC) hires two new teachers to teach 'After School' programs in the Bronx CRC's. The two CRC's in the Bronx are the St. James Senior Center on Jerome Avenue at 192nd Street, and St. Mary's Recreation Center on St. Ann's Avenue at 145th Street.

  • Bronx painters visit St. Mary's Recreation Center to ensure that the ceiling leaks were effectively repaired before they begin painting inside the center. St. Mary's Recreation Center is located at 450 St. Ann's Avenue at 145th Street.
  • Queens District crews complete collection of all horticultural equipment for routine maintenance and repairs.
  • The Queens central storehouse completes their two day inventory. The storehouse is used to house all maintenance and operations (M & O) supplies for fifteen districts.
  • Queens forces, including the Queens Borough Commissioner, Director of Forestry, District 5 forces, Greenhouse staff, and Park Managers, make alterations to the timber form play equipment at Juniper Valley South Playground to improve their safety. Juniper Valley South Playground is located at 77th Place and Juniper Boulevard South in MIddle Village, Queens.
  • Raise your voice for the holidays: there will be caroling in Washington Square Park in Manhattan at 5:00 p.m today. Washington Square Park is located at the intersection of 5th Avenue, Waverly Place, West 4th Street and MacDougal Street. More info>>
  • On Wednesday, December 26, Commissioner Stern will unveil and dedicate the 2,001st historic sign. The ceremony will take place at the southwest corner of Manhattan's Central Park, at Merchant's Gate near the Maine Monument. Merchant's Gate is located at Central Park West and 59th Street.
