On Monday, November 26 there was an in-house
Brooklyn Design Review at the Olmsted Center
in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Participants
discussed layout and design features Brooklyn
projects currently in design, including
plans for projects at Owl's Head Park, Brower
Park, and Marine Park.

Fleet Operations received six new beach
wagons last week. Beach wagons are specially
designed for use on sand terrain and are
the primary vehicles used in the beach maintenance
program. Each beach wagon costs $62,958.
Parks awaits four additional trucks from
Bruno GMC and one additional truck from
Villa Marin GMC, for a total of 11 new beach
wagons.

Bid documents are available for contractor
pick-up for the Reconstruction of a Grotto
and Perimeter Paths and Fences in Seton
Falls Park in the Bronx. Bids are due from
contractors on December 18. The bid documents
are located at the Olmsted Center in Flushing
Meadows Corona Park, Flushing, New York
11368.

Operations Management & Planning (OMP)
conducts detailed analysis of information
from Parks Inspection Program database in
preparation for year-end report.

Bronx Garage conducts accident report training
for park managers and supervisors. The training
explains, line by line, the proper procedure
for filling out an accident report and stresses
the importance of adhering to the Accident
Procedures. Training is held at the Bronx
Borough Headquarters, Ranaqua compound,
located at 1 Bronx River Parkway.
