Tennis Permits and Renewal Applications
Weather permitting, the 2009 tennis season begins April 4, 2009 and runs through the Sunday before Thanksgiving (November 22, 2009). The Parks Department will begin processing and mailing out online renewals starting in Mid-March.
Permits purchased are good for use until the end of the season.
Note: For anybody who is interested in purchasing
a permit late in the season, the same fees and expiration date apply.
For single play, permits are good for one hour of tennis
each day, in any borough. For doubles play, permits are good for
two hours of tennis each day in any borough. All players must have
permits or single-play (one-time use) tickets.
- All individuals are required to obtain a tennis permit in order to use a tennis court.
- Court users must adhere to the Tennis
Rules & Regulations and Guidelines
for Use of Field and Court Space.

| Season permits or single play tickets are required to play in all boroughs. Tennis permits are nonrefundable. You may renew your tennis permit and purchase single play tickets, court reservation tickets, or a locker rental using the online form. Note: At this point, we are unable to offer printing of single-play or reservation tickets immediately upon purchase. Please allow a week or so for delivery. New tennis permit applications (PDF, 83 KB) must be completed by mail or in person by downloading the form, printing, and mailing the application to or visiting one of the borough offices below. Adobe Acrobat required. Please note that passport-sized photographs are required only for permit applications sent by mail. In-person applicants will be photographed at the borough permit office. Athletic
permits for other sports such as baseball, soccer, and
football are available online. |

Bring the following materials to one of the locations below:
- Check money order, or credit card for appropriate dollar amount
- Proof of age (for Senior & Junior permits)
- Photo ID
(Note: We can only accept checks from New York State at this time.)
